Focus Warm-up 4: Feet & Allegro, taught by Coni Belgareto, builds strength, control, and articulation in the feet and lower legs while developing dynamic coordination. This class lays the foundation for efficient allegro technique by activating intrinsic and extrinsic foot muscles, promoting core stability, and preparing students for light, precise movement.


Students will explore exercises that improve posture in seated positions, reinforce alignment during skipping preparation, and refine foot control with resistance tools.


Tips:

Encourage long toes and smooth, articulated footwork in all exercises.

Check that the band is correctly placed to allow full range without tension in the ankle.

Remind students to stabilise the hips during dynamic leg movements.
