This exercise will help build stability and strength in adage. By stabilising through the supporting side you will gain freedom in movement through the upper body.



Starting Position: Begin by having the student kneel, placing the Pro Ball at the hip and the hand onto the floor. The top arm is extended to the ceiling with their leg is stretched out to the side.


Steps:

  1. The student will then float the top leg up to hip height.
  2. They will brush the leg forward into a flexed devant position, the arm is opening to second (the spine is rotated)
  3. Rush the leg back into an arabesque taking the arm to 5th.
  4. Repeat this 4 times.
  5. Brush the leg back to arabesque then développé the leg forward. Rotating the spine and using the port de bras.
  6. Repeat this 3 times.
  7. The student will the face forward on both knees, rolling the ball forward into child's pose.
  8. The student will the repeat the whole exercise on the other side.
