Mini Loop Band

Mini Loop Band

This exercise will activate the students glutes, hamstrings and core while also giving them an adductor workout.


Starting Position: Have the students place the mini loop band above the knees. Lie on a mat with knees bent and legs in parallel.


Steps:


  1. The students will bridge up and bring the arms overhead.
  2. They will then lower the right arm as the left leg lifts. Return.
  3. Repeat 6 times, alternating sides.
  4. They will lower the arms so wrists align with shoulders, and rotate the palms to face each other
  5. Have the students extend the right leg in parallel, then turn out. Optionally: lift the heel off the floor.
  6. They will then circle the leg outward 8 times, then inward 8 times.
  7. The students will lower the leg and unbridge down.
  8. Have the students bridge up and repeat the leg circles with the left leg.
  9. They will then bring the arms overhead. Unbridge down and lower both arms to finish.
