This exercise activates the upper body and promotes coordination, strength, and agility, aiding in the execution of complex dance movements.


Preparation: Position your students in parallel, with a fusion ball between their upper calves. Place another fit ball in front of them on the mat.


Steps:

1. Instruct students to bend their knees and roll onto the fit ball, aligning their hip bones slightly forward of the ball's centre.

2. Guide them through two scissor twists in parallel. Alternatively, introduce a rotated position for variation.

3. Have students shift their weight forward, elbows wide, lifting their legs into the dolphin position.

4. Encourage controlled, fluid movements for each repetition.


Focus: Ensure proper alignment of the hips and spine during the roll onto the ball. Monitor the precision of the scissor twists and dolphin pose for optimal muscle engagement.
