Mini Loop Band

Mini Loop Band

The student will be working the lower limbs in this exercise but also building strength through the core and upper body. By working into the obliques it will build a strong torso which will allow for more freedom of movement.

Starting Position: The student will place the mini loop band above the knees and roll on to their side. The student will be lifted on to the elbow with the top hand at the temple, the legs will be long down the mat and stacked.

Steps:

  1. The student will begin by lifting and lowering the top leg 3 times.
  2. They will then roll to a seated position with the hands on the floor and legs in a table top position.
  3. Have the student roll to the other side and repeat the exercise.
  4. They will repeat the exercise 4 times.
  5. To finish they will lie on their back and stretch the legs away.
