Fusion Ball

This is a great exercise for the students to really focus and build strength in their abdominals, adductors and triceps. It is essential to have a strong core to be able to support the spine.

Starting Position: The student will start in a seated position with the feet flat on the floor and the fusion ball between the calfs. Place the hands slightly back behind the body with the figure tips pointing forward.

Steps:

  1. The student will float the legs up to a table top position.
  2. They will then stretch both legs forward and bend the elbows, then bring legs and body back to the centre.
  3. Repeat this 4 times.
  4. Have the student repeat the sequence but this time scissor the legs in external rotation, alternating legs.
  5. To finish they will lower the legs and stretch down the mat.
