This exercise is a fun and effective way for students to strengthen core muscles. It focuses on the transverse abdominis, rectus abdominis, and the psoas muscle, which are vital for waist strength, spine rotation, and leg alignment.
Preparation:Ensure each student has a fusion ball that feels comfortable to hold. Have them lay down on a mat, holding the fusion ball in one hand.
Steps:
1.When the music starts, students should raise their legs to a tabletop position while slightly lifting their shoulders off the mat.
2. Students should synchronize with the rhythm of the music, passing the ball underneath the leg, while extending the other one. Repeat 4 times, alternating sides.
3. Instruct students to return to the tabletop position, throw and catch the ball, and then repeat the sequence starting with the other leg.
4. Have students repeat the full set two times.
Focus: Emphasise maintaining a stable core throughout the exercise and proper coordination with the music.
