Fusion Ball

Fusion Ball

This exercise enhances lower limb turnout and foot articulation, with a focus on engaging the obliques. It's especially useful if you have any students with tibial torsion.

Preparation: Students should lie on their backs on a mat and place a soft fusion ball between their calf muscles. Legs should be parallel with knees bent.

Steps:

1. Instruct students to slowly extend their legs upward, forming a 90-degree angle.

2. Ensure their sacrum remains pressed against the mat.

3. Next, they can bend their knees slightly, positioning the right leg in front of the left with both legs externally rotated.

4. Guide them through a corkscrew motion with the legs and stretching the legs in-between. Repeat this three times.

5. Ask the students to place their hands under their neck for support and twist the torso towards the raised leg from the shoulder.

6. Ask the students to return to the centre alignment and repeat the movements all on the alternate side.

Focus: Ensure proper alignment of the spine and controlled leg movements.
