This exercise is specific to targeting the glutes. We need strong glutes to help us have powerful dynamic jumps and soft landings.


Starting Position: The student will come in to a 4 point kneeling position and place the resistance band around one foot, They will hold the end of the band in each hand.


Steps:

  1. The student will extend the leg in the band straight behind them in a parallel position and bring it back in.
  2. Repeat this 4 times.
  3. Have the student repeat the exercise in a turned out position 4 times.
  4. They will sit back in child's pose to finish.
