Mini Loop Band

Mini Loop Band

This is a great exercise to target the glutes and work the co-ordination of the port de bras, while getting an adductor stretch at the end.


Starting Position: The student will begin in a seated position with the mini loop band above the knees. They will then roll on to the elbow and hip, bringing the knees and feet together.


Steps:

  1. The student will lift the hip off the floor as they open the knee, taking the arm to a 5th position.
  2. They will then circle the arm open, lowering the hips and closing the knee.
  3. Repeat this 3 times.
  4. They will stay lifted the 3rd time and pulse the knee up 6 times.
  5. Have the student role to the other side.
  6. Repeat on the 2nd side.
  7. To finish they will lie down and open the legs in to a wide 2nd position with the toes pointed.
