This carefully designed Band Class is full of wonderful Proprioception for the entire body. The length of the video is 29 minutes but we recommend allocating 40 minutes for the class to allow time to repeat any exercises required.
The class commences with “Wrapping in a grand plié”, where the deep rotators are fully active while pelvis alignment is being maintained. The exact same wrap is kept on the legs as the class moves into “Passé with bands”, where control and alignment are further enhanced. The body is now very active as they roll into the prone position to practice “Scissor with bands”, which improves derrière alignment.
The aim of the next exercise, “Resistance band leg lifts”, is weight placement and elongation through the supporting side of the body. They are now ready for the challenge of “Arabesque stability”. All elite dancers require immense stamina; therefore, we have introduced “Stamina with core”. The focus now turns to the lower limb with the exercise “Intrinsic & Core Activation”. As usual, the class concludes with a safe stretching combination.
