Welcome to Junior Class 8, led by the talented Jenna Roberts. Ensure your students are confident with the material from Junior Class 7 before progressing. The video runs for approximately 38 minutes, but allow 45-50 minutes to include explanations, demonstrations, and repetition.


This session emphasises full-body alignment and control, focusing on lengthening the spine and distributing movement evenly rather than overloading the lower back. Students will refine their approach to arabesques and cambrés by learning how to extend through the entire spine while maintaining core stability. In adage, the class highlights the importance of correct leg alignment and weight distribution on the supporting leg to achieve balance and freedom of movement. Jump and batterie training will further enhance coordination and articulation, ensuring clean execution and dynamic elevation.


In the adage exercises, guide your students to align the pelvis correctly, allowing for greater range without compromising stability. For jumps and batterie, reinforce the importance of controlled landings and foot articulation. Conclude the class with a thorough cool-down to release tension and restore balance in the body.
