Before advancing to Class 6, it's vital to ensure that your students feel secure and confident with the skills covered in Class 5. The video lesson for Class 5 is approximately 40 minutes. However, it’s a good idea to allocate 50 minutes, allowing extra time for students to repeat exercises as needed. Class 6 will focus on activating the entire body, improving deep rotation, and enhancing balance. This not only prepares students for more advanced ballet techniques but also provides a well-rounded session.
In Class 6, “Full body activation” will play a crucial role in strengthening your students' core. They'll further develop their “Deep rotation” skills by building on earlier exercises designed to challenge this intense movement. The adductor muscles remain engaged as they practice the graceful “Port de bras stability,” setting the stage for the more demanding “Twists and Dolphin,” which train the body for Failli and Temps de Poisson.
This class introduces “Wall beats,” where students perform beating movements using a wall for propulsion. Balance is put to the test with “Upper body rotation & balance.” The session concludes with a calming “Final stretch,” ensuring students cool down properly.
